Adrián Pablo Fanjul |
Adrián Fanjul holds a degree in Literature from the Instituto Superior del Profesorado (Argentina, 1991), a Master's degree in Language Sciences (1998) from the same institution, a PhD in Linguistics from UNESP-Araraquara (2002), and a postdoctoral degree in Spanish from USP (2017) with a thesis on discourse analysis related to urban music of popular tradition. He did a postdoctoral internship in 2006 at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina), with a scholarship from FAPESP. He has a level 2 productivity scholarship from CNPq. Currently, and since 2002, he is a full-time professor at the University of São Paulo (USP), teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Modern Literature. He develops research analyzing comparatively discursive series in Spanish and Portuguese in South America, as well as comparing the referencing processes in the functioning of these two languages. He is the author and editor of several books in the field, and has published articles in scientific journals and books from Brazil, Argentina, Austria, Cuba, Spain and the United States. He coordinates international cooperation initiatives for postgraduate studies and has taught courses in several master's and doctoral programs in Argentina since 2005, and in Cape Verde since 2003. He is a reviewer for several government agencies that promote research and for several journals in the field. He was president of the Brazilian Association of Hispanists from 2010 to 2012. He was a member of the coordination team of the VII Brazilian Congress of Hispanists (2012) and chaired the Organizing Committee of the I International Congress of Teachers of Official Languages of Mercosur (2010). He was a representative of professors with doctorates on the University Council of USP between 2011 and 2013. | |

Maria Augusta da Costa Vieira |
Maria Augusta da Costa Vieira is a Full Professor of Spanish Literature at the Department of Modern Literature, School of Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences, University of São Paulo, and a researcher at CNPq. She began teaching at the University of São Paulo in 1977, and completed her master's degree in 1985, her doctorate in 1994, her associate professorship in 2008, and in 2014 she took the position of full professor. Her research focuses on 16th and 17th century Spanish literature, particularly the work of Miguel de Cervantes. She coordinates the research group "Cervantes: poetics, rhetoric and discursive forms in 16th and 17th century Spain" (CNPq). She has published articles in specialized journals, conference proceedings, and several book chapters published in Brazil and abroad. In 1998, he published O Dito pelo não diz: paradoxos de Dom Quixote (The Said Through the Unspoken: Paradoxes of Don Quixote) (Edusp/Fapesp). To commemorate the 400th anniversary of the publication of the first part of Don Quixote, he organized a book that brings together critical studies by authors from various countries, entitled Dom Quixote: a letra e os caminhos (Don Quixote: a letra e os caminhos [Don Quixote: the letter and the paths] (2006, finalist for the Jabuti Prize), and, at the same time, he organized an International Symposium on the work of Cervantes (September 2005). In 2012, he published A narrativa ingenosa de Miguel de Cervantes: estudos cervantinos e invenção do Quixote no Brasil [The Ingenious Narrative of Miguel de Cervantes: Cervantine Studies and the Reception of Don Quixote in Brazil] (Edusp/Fapesp, Jabuti Prize 2013, category Theory and Literary Criticism). In terms of institutional engagement, in addition to several other activities, from 2009 to 2011 and from 2011 to 2013, he was head of the Department of Modern Literature. She supervises undergraduate, master's and doctoral research projects and supervises postdoctoral projects in the Graduate Program in Spanish Language and Spanish and Hispanic-American Literature. She has given lectures and conferences in several countries (Germany, Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, Poland, India, Costa Rica, Mexico, among others) and in several Brazilian institutions. From 2002 to 2007 she was a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Hispanists and from 2009 to 2015 she was a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Cervantists. In 2015 she organized the 9th CINDAC - International Congress of the Association of Cervantists - held at the University of São Paulo; a congress that, for the first time, was held on American soil. In 2016 she was reelected to the Board of Directors of the International Association of Hispanists and in the same year she was named "Member Correspondente Extranjero de la Real Academia Española". In 2017, she was a member of the jury for the Cervantes Prize as a representative of the International Association of Hispanists, an award granted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (Spain) and the Royal Spanish Academy. In 2018, she was honored by the Duques de Soria Foundation as an International Hispanist, in Madrid, along with other colleagues from non-Hispanic countries. In 2019, she was reelected as a member of the board of directors of the International Association of Hispanists for the three-year period 2019/2022. In 2019, she edited the book Cervantes Plural, which brings together articles by several members of the Cervantes Study Group: poetics, rhetoric and discursive forms of 16th- and 17th-century Spain, published by Ed. María Dolores Aybar Ramírez holds a degree in French Philology from the Complutense University of Madrid (1986); a Master's degree in Modern Literature / Spanish (Research on popular culture – and in particular festivities – based on the Relationships of the Peoples of the Bishopric of Cuenca – 16th century) from the Sorbonne Nouvelle University – Paris 3 (1992); a PhD in Literary Studies (From the literature of exiles to exiled literature: Spatiality in L'agneau carnivore, by Agustin Gomez-Arcos) from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP- FCLAr, 2003) and a Post-Doctorate in Spanish Literature (History and Women: Juana I between France and Spain and between History and Fiction), from the State University of São Paulo (USP, São Paulo, 2015). María Teresa Celada |
PhD in Linguistics from the State University of Campinas (2002). Since 1992, she has been a professor and researcher at the University of São Paulo, where she holds a PhD. She conducts research in the area of Discourse Analysis, which focuses on the study of the functioning of the Spanish language and the Brazilian language, in the comparison between the functioning of subjectivities and discourses in Brazil and Argentina, in a space of enunciation traversed by discourses of integration. She has been the coordinator of the Spanish Area of the Language Center of USP since 2003. In 2008, she developed a postdoctoral research project at UBA (Argentina) with a grant from FAPESP (Process 08/54641-9): “Trails of discursive memory on Portuguese in Argentina. Subjects/languages. Knowledge.” She was a critical reader of the Curricular Guidelines for Secondary Education (Spanish) in 2006. In 2009 and 2010 she served as Deputy Coordinator and as Writer of the PNLD 2011, and as a critical reader of the PNLD 2013 (UFF). Pablo Fernando Gasparini |
Professor at the University of São Paulo (Department of Modern Literature, School of Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences). Professor of Literature at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR, Argentina, 1994), with a master's degree (1999) and a doctorate (2004) in Latin American literature from the University of São Paulo under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jorge Schwartz. He was a Lecturer at the University of Maryland at College Park (2001-2002). He did postdoctoral work at the Institute of Language Studies (IEL) of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp, 2004-2008) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Márcio Seligmann-Silva. He was a scholarship holder of the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in various modalities (master's, doctorate and postdoctorate between 1997 and 2008, external research scholarship at Université Paris 8 in 2006). In 2006 he published El exilio procaz: Gombrowicz por la Argentina (Rosario, Beatriz Viterbo) and, since 2010, he has been researching and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of São Paulo. He has taught several graduate courses at the University of São Paulo, the Federal University of Santa Catarina, and the National University of Córdoba (Argentina) and has participated as a visiting professor in graduate courses at the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos (Peru) and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). From 2012 to 2015, he was coordinator at the University of São Paulo of the international project "TRANSIT. Transnationality at Large. The transnational dimension of Hispanic culture in the 20th and 21st centuries", led by the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (with the participation of a broad network of European and American universities). He was coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Spanish Language and Spanish and Hispanic-American Literatures at the University of São Paulo from 2013 to 2017. His research topics focus on the themes of exile, immigration and the problems of linguistic/literary displacement. He has published articles in several books and international journals. His academic production focuses on the works of Néstor Perlongher, Juan Rodolfo Wilcock, Antonio Porchia, Héctor Bianciotti, Copi, Vilém Flusser, Witold Gombrowicz and Augusto Roa Bastos, among others. He is currently preparing the book Puertos: Diccionarios. Literaturas y alteridad linguada desde la pampa, the result of his thesis for a postdoctoral degree at the University of São Paulo (2018). |
